When I taught preschool, we would recommend things that parents should work on at home with their child.  We once got the response from a parent "that's your job!"  It is our job as teachers, but it's also the job of the parent to reinforce!  We are with children 7 hours a day...what happens the other 17?  Oh my soapbox! One day the school suspended 48 students because there was a fight and these 48 students were late to class.  Therefore, it was assumed that they were watching the fight.  My issue with this is, "where the proof"?  Also, these kids are missing 4 hours of school work from 4 classes.
