Dr. Barcelona brings a different perspective to my research. I am looking at youth in the context of family, focusing mainly on the parental involvement and the indications for academic success (i.e. promotion and graduation rates). Dr. Barcelona specializes in youth in the context of sport and recreation. However, it is the same train of thought for positive youth development that enhance my research endeavors - just from different lens.
Dr. Quinn specializes in family research as it relates to youth. We will be able to explore the current diverse family structures and how they influence youth's academic success. Therefore, it is a no brainer to include him in my committee to offer any suggestions or hot trends that are currently taking place in the research today.
Dr. Anderson offers my research evaluative expertise. She will assist me in mastering comprehensive program evaluation strategies as it relates in Communities In Schools of Charlotte, NC.
